hi, i'm nik. my friend trish thinks i take good pictures but she also says that my camera is really nice ... i am capable of growing a full beard but some people (matt wallace) don't believe me. i wear a huge pirate earring and even though everyone makes fun of me, i believe that i am loved. when i was a eight years old, i knew exaclty wanted to be when i grew up: a locksmith or a video store owner. if you rearrange the letters in my first name, you can spell oksnail and skiloan, both of which are registered aim screennames of mine (2 of 117, not kidding at all and i have the list to prove it). when i was in second grade, i signed a contract saying i would say no to drugs and alcohol and i actually stuck to it. my mom makes great food and baked goods and i'm pretty sure she is psychic. my father tried out for the red sox the same day as tony conigliaro but apparently he was a little bit better.
i can never remember who i saw what movie with so if i ask you if you've seen the movie that i saw with you, don't take it personally. i've never hit a homerun out of the park (except once in batting practice straight down the left field line) but i still dream of it to this day ... as well as being the only waiter in a crowded restaurant where everyone is looking at me because no one has been served and they've been sitting there for hours. i love to read but i can't read more than two chapters at a time without thinking of something else i need to do right that second. i am extremely compulsive. i figured out that i needed glasses right after i stopped playing high school baseball and i still wonder if that's why i struck out all the time. i like to dance. i wore braces for three years and didn't have one stick of gum the whole time. i've kept track of every major concert i've seen in my life since 1995. i love going out to breakfast and autumn.
i've lived in colorado, boston and miami and i still love the cape the best. my brother is from palau (yes, the island from survivor) and my other brother is a professional yo-yo guy. i am good at making mixes and fixing people's computers and i should get paid for both but never do. i like wearing my country shirts to hard rocks shows and vice versa. i once went 4-4 with three doubles and a bloop single under the lights. i also made two errors that night. my grandfather was born in 1888 and was 23 years older than my grandmother. i used to change my email address constantly but i finally stopped once gmail came to town. if you like either country music or +live+, you're automagically my friend. i got a college degree without learning anything because i took classes like water aerobics, weaving, backpacking & hiking, social dance and ping pong. i do a podcast with my brother and we think it's pretty good and so do at least three other people. i don't really care about the celtics because they are crappy but i miss reggie lewis and my dog reggie who we named after him. i'm colorblind and yes, i can tell you what color 'that' is.
i can't run a mile without almost dying of asthma. with a running start, the hardest i can throw a baseball according to the pitching gun at the tweeter center is 69 MPH, which is not quite as fast as tim wakefield's slowest knuckleball. i've never been in a fight but i did get punched in the face once by a kid named han court who was three years younger than me and i did nothing. i want to learn how to play the mandolin but probably never will. i wish mitch hedberg was still alive. i want someone to buy me this shirt in a medium for my birthday. i hate it when people ask me who jonny lang is. i drive a nissan maxima and i have vanity plates with my initials on them because i'm vain and because it's only money, you can always make more and you only live once. i can't really swim that good but i will take you deep in wiffleball. i used to buy more than two concerts tickets at once but i finally learned my lesson. i love music.
Literally everything but the techno.
