I'm a girl, although (apparently) I'm more like a man than a woman; I like D.I.Y, pretty women and cars... and I'm not very good at expressing my feelings, but I'm also irrational and strangely attracted to shiny things, like a woman. I guess it all balances out.
My best friend is a flying horse.
I'm awfully fond of dancing and, well, movement in general really, whether it's pulling shapes, fidgeting or simply doing a staggering impersonation of a human windmill, whilst trying to explain one of my 'thoughts'.
I like people who are real; I dislike people who are false.
The man who sometimes shares my bed, whispers 'You're odd', whilst kissing the back of my neck.
I like... all things green.
I'm possibly quite odd, although this is merely a collective opinion of other people and not what I personally think to be the case. In my mind I am as close to normal as possible, although I like to believe that I left behind all conventions of normality (read:coolness) when I left school. Unfortunately I don't think this is the case and it's a shame, because... well, because it hinders a lot of people in the act of being the person they really are/want to be and instead they feel forced to conform. I think more of us should be like Homer Simpson - he's certainly not afraid to show the world his true colours. I don't really like using such an over-analogised TV show in one of my rambles, but hey.
I am: 'contradiction writ in human form, being both extraordinarily sweet and mildly psychotic at the same time'.
I like to cuddle and laugh!

What an idiot! For the record, I don’t think that I’m wasting my life... but being awake and in a strange mid-point between drunk, sober and hung-over, at 5.11am in the morning, can have a s...

Here Gemma is; alone and somehow incredibly glad to be so, yet simultaneously vehemently wishing that she wasn’t. Confrontation is an ugly thing, however, she understands totally how it’s ...

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve written any kind of news related Blog. I think that’s... well, it’s probably a good thing, but there’s always a time and a place for anot...
Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Heavenly Creatures, The Indiana Jones films (all of them), The early Star Wars films, The Little Mermaid, Titanic, The Elephant Man, the Lord of the Rings films, 28 Days Later, Seven, Them, Titanic, Finding Nemo, Bambi, The Emperor's New Groove, Now and Then, Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, Working Girl, The Constant Gardner, The Never Ending Story, Transformers, Short Circuit, Batteries Not Included, LA Story, The Cooler, The Land Before Time, Perfect Blue...
The Strokes - I still want to marry Julian Casablancas, so please can someone arrange that for me?! I also enjoy - Hot Hot Heat, Maximo Park, The New York Dolls, Regina Spektor, Turin Brakes, The White Stripes, The Klaxons, Oasis, The Blood Arm, Simon & Garfunkel, Muse, Karmen Vega, The Cribs, The Clash, OK GO, Semisonic, JJ72, RHCP, QOTSA, Dire Straights, Blondie, The Velvet Underground, The Pipettes, Alicia's Attic, Queen, Dolly Parton, The Ramones, Jeff Buckley, Cat Stevens, Phil Collins, Super Tramp, David Bowie, Kate Bush, Lily Allen, Shakira, Iggy Pop, Good Shoes, Flaming Lips, The Vines, Razor Light, Tom McRae...
I don't watch a lot of TV really. Ugly Betty has pleasantly surprised me - it's really quite sweet and makes me feel a bit fuzzy inside. I was dubious at first (the trailers smacked of those for Lost - which is the most diabolical thing on telly; I reall, in both senses). Anyway. I like the Sleep Clinic, mainly because of the bizarre-o things people get up to in their sleep - I know we shouldn't laugh but it is funny. Other things I love watching when I get the chance: Scrapheap Challenge, Robot Wars, The Crystal Maze, The Krypton Factor, Neighbours, Grand Designs, T4 Sunday (for the mindless way it cures a hangover)... Waking the Dead (Mmmmm - Trevor Eve), Arrested Development, Green Wing, Peep Show, Mock the Week, Friday Night with Jonathon Ross, Call My Bluff, QI...
Books are awesome! I like... tacky erotic fiction (okay, only occasionally and it's less about the sex, more about the amusing euphemisms used to describe the guy's dick - which are usually totally un-erotic). Terry Pratchett!! Okay, what else? The White Hotel (which admittedly contains a fair bit of sex)... but it's a really harrowing read, especially the last section about the holocaust. More, Now, Again - Elizabeth Wurtzel's autobiographical work was really, really interesting. The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy is brilliant!!! Charlotte's Web, Judy Blume books, Dodos are Forever, The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark... I like poetry too, especially Nicole Blackman and Carol Anne Duffy.
Ah... interests! Such a yawningly wide chasm of a subject, encompassing such a broad spectrum of things, that the list could probably be ceaseless, if time restraints were ceaseless also. But seeing as I don't want to grow old, grey, withered and dead whilst noting my interests (I'd much rather be out and about getting interested in them after all)... I shall probably cease with the random introduction to my interests now and... tell you what they (my interests) actually are: Art, craft, general creativity, writing (poetry & short prose), stars, nature, reading, eating (especially eating), mating, people-watching, drinking, swimming, walking, anime, dancing, socialising, traveling, singing, the internet, Macro the Monkey, the Soy Fish, Blighty the Teabag, fashion, colours, photography, London, music, camping, The Strokes (Julian Casablancas, whose baby I have yet to give birth to), collecting oddities, clubbing, cafes, The Egg Monster, comedy (Eddie Izzard is a legend, as is Alan Carr), clouds, water, scenery, stickle bricks, ALL Kirby games, Nintendo DS & Wii FUNTIME...
