The future of four boys who would become no greater sky was sparked with the meeting of Curt Anderson (vocals, piano/keys, guitar, programming) and Clark Hubbard (drums) during a Summer Theatre production in their small hometown of Ithaca, Michigan. The two were cast as members of a mock band, Curt rocking the air-guitar and Clark destroying air-drums. Three years later, with Clark and Curt at the young ages of twelve and sixteen, respectively, no greater sky was birthed. The addition of bassist Nic Byron came a year later, followed by Matt Lloyd (lead guitar, backing vocals) in 2005. Present day, the boys call Anderson, Indiana home where they all live, write, and rehearse together under one roof. They are loved by all of their neighbours.

The release of no greater sky's debut full-length album "HEARTS & STARS" has been met with praise from fans both old and new. It was co-produced by Mark Pay (also produced Island/Def Jam artist Jon McLaughlin's first two albums) and band member Curt Anderson, engineered by Grammy Award winner Ronnie Brookshire (Rob Thomas, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman), and mixed and mastered by Grammy Award winner Chad Evans (Gaither Vocal Band). Creativity runs rampant on the album, giving listeners a diverse, genre-blending sound.

Their loop-heavy ear-catcher "Take Me Away (of Sonnets and Snowflakes)" has been picked up for the August rotation at 96.9 WYIR in Evansville, Indiana. Streaming audio of the station can be heard at www.wyir.com.

With songs like "Lift Your Gaze," Anderson shows a little bit of his lazy hip-hop flow on an atmospheric bed of sound, as "I Step Into You" explores a more jazz-influenced pop sound, while "Awake, My Cherished" begs listeners to sing along at the top of their lungs.

no greater sky have sought to give their listeners a passionate blend of musical creativity and pop/rock accessibility. With the foundation of Hubbard's crafty drumming and Byron's driving bass, Anderson and Lloyd's catchy guitar, piano, and vocal writing takes full-shape. Their euphony blends luscious, yet aggressive layers of sound with catchy hooks and poetic lyricism reaching beyond the commonalities of the pop/rock genre to create sounds for every age listener.

"We really want to engage people with our music," said Anderson. "Sure, we want it to be catchy--we want our songs stuck in people's heads at school, work, in the car, on the plane, in the space shuttle--but with that, we also strive to give our listeners some lyrical and musical substance. Hopefully something they aren't hearing in every other band they listen to."

WHAT FANS ARE SAYING...

"No Greater Sky is the best music to come around in a long time! In an age where people are stereotyped into genres, No Greater Sky breaks down the walls of musical "genre" and bring a fresh perspective to your ears! Curt Anderson's simply amazing. Much like the greatness of Paul Simon!"
-Jeremy Nakasone; Hawaii.

"The music is real and inspiring and the lyrics are something that everyone can relate to. It's uplifting and fun to listen to."
-Colleen Maxwell; Michigan.

"I saw you guys at SpringHill a few weeks ago, and I just wanted to say that we couldn't keep our campers from singing your songs (over and over and over!)"
-Gloriann McDonald; Michigan

"You guys are one of the best in my opinion! Your music touched me, and you guys are the sweetest guys ever!!
Kayci; Indiana

"I just came across your profile on one of my friend's, gave you a listen, and fell in love. Amazing!
-Anna; Michigan

"NGS is a new, young band with a lot of potential that I'm expecting big things from in the future. With strong songs, passionate vocals, and youthful personalities they have a fresh new pop/rock sense blending a musicality and passion that is quite pleasing. This is a band to keep your eye on."
-Alby Odum (of Cross Driven Records recording artists Daniels Window)
