Norik has been representing the rhythms of drum and bass since 1999. Starting at the ripe age of 15, Norik (Erik Finsrud) decided to drop his 5 years of guitar playing to take up the wheels of steel.
Before he was able to have a crate of records to call his own, he would raid his father's collection of jazz and funk, practicing hours on end with the sounds of Herbie Hancock and Weather Report.
Shortly after, the local DJs took Norik under their wing, donating their old records, and showing him the ropes, he was soon playing clubs and underground desert parties all over Arizona. In 2004 he started producing his own music, and has moved to Florida to study audio engineering and graphic design to begin his career in the entertainment industry.
2006 was the year he started to take his producing seriously and began receiving attention from some of the big wigs of the scene. He has received plays by Stunna, Subject 13, Dak, Style Control, Robot Death Squad, Peyo, DB, and London Elektricity on the award winning Hospital Podcast, as well as grazed the pages of drum and bass monthly, Knowledge Magazine.

Yeah, still going to stay here...actually going to move closer to Vancouver itself as I'm currently living in the suburbs (commuting SUCKS). Vancouver is am amazing city though and certainly a place I'd recommend to anyone who has never been. Our "scene" here is kinda touch and go, and it's nearly impossible to tell if a show is going to go off or not. There is though a very talented core of people here doing their thing, and pushing all sorts of different sounds, so it's a great place for creativity (plus the lax weed laws help =p ). Anyways, hopefully your transition is a smooth one. Let me know when you're casting for my pod again! Peace. Sev

Still gotta approve my add bro! =p Anyways, I'm going to be in the same boat as you soon since I'm in the process of renovating my house to put it up for sale, at which point I'll be living out of boxes until I can find a flat that's got studio space. I'm going to check my iTunes frequently for your podcasts though. PS. I actually re-mastered 4 tracks on my profile since you listened last, I was trying to mixdown in shitty headphones the previous night (BAD MISTAKE!) and flubbed the mix, so the updated tunes sound MUCH better! Peace
