Outta work and feeling slightly drained. However, I have my tankard of vitality elixir (aka, Mountain Dew), with me, so all is well...or should be when the caffeine kicks in.
I submitted a drawring for those that actually view this page to enjoi. I'm quite pleased with it, planning on making prints of it. If I were a robot, I'd wanna look like that...robots FTW.
Gonna be moving sometime at the end of December with my fiancee up and out of Mc-boredoutofmyskull-Alester.
I hate this small town nonsense with a passion. I dislike rednecks, contractors and overbearing religious-zealot republicans as well (this town is loaded with the aforementioned villainy). The unemployed are on my shit list too; around here it seems to be "OK" to not have a job and mooch off of unemployment checks and well fare...yet still drive a BRAND F'ING NEW *insert vehicle here, preferably expensive ones*. My tax dollars are not to pay your Hummer's lease, GTFO and get a job, asshat.
I spend quite a bit of time gaming it up WoW (World of Warcraft). So far, my Alliance main (Female Night Elf Hunter) is lvl 55, almost 56. I'll finally be able to go to Outland soon (hoorah!) and see what I've been missing. However, to take a bit of a break, I've made some toons to play on the Emerald Dream realm, Horde side. I rolled a Female Tauren Shaman and a Female Tauren Hunter. I would've rolled male except for the fact I can't get over how fugly Tauren male look. Females look more aesthetically pleasing...the voice acting they have for them is creepy. Why couldn't they have taken one of the nicer sounding NPC voices for players?
Also, for those in the know, 2.3 is being touted by the Hunter community as a "unwanted patch for Hunters". I disagree to a point. My highest lvl toon being a Hunter, and the fact that I love the class itself, makes me care about what is done to the class to improve it. So far, in patch 2.3, what has been confirmed is an Arcane Shot Dispell (f'ing awesome to me), Deadzone reduction (finally), and a Mortal Strike affect added to Aimed Shot (pretty cool). The first 2 I think are just right, Hunters will have to only damaging ranged dispell in the game (and they can do it every 6 secs. 5 if speced MM), and they will no longer have their deadzone exploited and be able to do nothing. The MS Aimed Shot, still waiting to see it in action when the patch hits...hopefully they reduce the casting time from 3.5 to something shorter like they said they might, would help it's viability.
Hunters on the WoW Hunter forums just seem to...I don't know...bitch to much. Mainly the ones who are involved in Arena matches complain that these buffs won't help us worth a damn. Their were a few however that said Hunters were fine and these buffs were icing on the cake; these few also had very good arena ratings and gear, and the whiners did not. Hmmm...I'll take to heart what the skilled player says thanks; Hunters are fine, please read up on your class and learn 2 play. I too think Hunters are dandy; they are a class that easy to learn, but hard to master. They require a lot of forethought and understanding to battle mechanics and strategies. Most of the time, PvP-wise, I come out on top because I know what I'm doing. I have seen many Hunters though that don't do the right things or do stuff that makes me go "WTF, why did you do that? Are you retarded?"
For example, I saw this Dwarf Hunter duel a Human Rogue and thought, "Surely when the match starts, he will throw a flare in the direction he last saw the Rogue stealth to...right?" Nope, didn't happen, he just started running, blindly hoping he ran into the Rogue. Eventually, the Rogue positioned himself behind the Hunter and started beating the crap out of him and stunlocking him down. When the Hunter comes to, he's got about 50% HP left, but can still pull the fight around...if he was smart. I would've layed a frost trap down, even if I had crippling poison on me, because I would assume (especially around higher lvls), that, if I layed a freezing trap, he would just trinket out of it and screw me over. At least with a frost trap, if he did trinket, it would be wasted because the slowing affect would still be there; trinkets don't make you immune for a set time. After that, I would get some distance between me and the Rogue, and as soon as I could, pop a concussive shot on him and turn on Aspect of the Cheetah to get a speed boost (assuming he was out of melee with me, if not, I'd kite some more untill I was.) I'd also unload a Serpent Sting and Hunter's Mark to prevent him from using Vanish. Since I'm Beast Master speced right now (for lvling, I'll most likely change it to Marks and Survival when I hit 70), I'd then pop Intimidation on him to stun him, then Rapid Fire, Beast Within, then pew pew pew and kite as necessary, all the while reapplying serpent sting to keep him dotted and concussive shot to slow him down and using a Multi-Auto-Arcane-Auto shot rotation. He'd be dead very quickly fighting me, even if he pulled tricks out on me, I'd adapt and counter him.
But back to the Dwarf. What did he do? He didn't lay a single trap and kept Aspect of the Cheetah on (in melee range...idiot) and subsequently started to duke it out in close combat...with a Rogue...the proverbial king of CQC...ladies and gentleman, I present to you the most accurate example of a Huntard. Needless to say, he dropped in about 3 secs as the Rogue happily unloaded a full combo point rack on him. Basically, the climax to that fight was a bunch of stabbing and slashing sounds followed by "Auggh!". No skill what-so-ever from the Hunter, didn't even try. I did a sigh emote and shook my head at the Dwarf. The Rogue just started laughing constantly. The Hunter laughed too and said "Good Duel, you're really good, lol" The Rogue responded, "That duel was lame, you didn't even try. You possibly could have won if you knew what to do, but you ignored almost all your class skills and tried to melee me. The simple fact is you are a Huntard and don't know to play your class." I clapped and agreed with what the Rogue said. The Dwarf, obviously a very dense person IRL, said "Well no, Rogues are OP, everyone knows that. Hunters can't really beat Rogues or Warriors. So, no, you just play an easy win class."
I stepped in and said, "Fine then, if you feel like that let me prove you wrong. If I win, you need to reroll your class and get out of mine, if I lose, I'll give you 50 Gold and free pots out of my bank. Deal?" The Rogue laughed at this, saying it sounded like a good proposal. The Dwarf agreed and sat down to watch. I let the Rogue heal and then challenged him to a duel. I employed my own strategies and tactics and used the proper skills at correct times to combat the Rogue.
I won. I had 65% HP when the Duel ended. The Rogue was quite impressed and said I was one of the better Hunters he has dueled. The Dwarf couldn't believe it and had the audacity to accuse me of being a hacker, then he ran off to be his Huntard self somewhere else. Me and the Rogue just laughed at him, then said goodbye and parted ways. What I find sad, is most Hunters are like that, they never employ their full list of skills in combat and subsequently think their class is gimped and then proceed to whine and bitch. I, however, feel it is important to understand the class your playing if your going to get the most out of WoW.
Yeah, I know, long WoW rant. Those of you who don't play probably didn't understand a thing I just said. Sry <3.
OK, no more talk about WoW, time to play.
Bai.
