My life is pretty typical. And to be totally honest, I'm really very average. Although, I do find it odd, that no matter where I am or what I'm doing, I have a strong sense of purpose. For what? I couldn't possibly tell you, because I dont know that yet. But, all providence aside, the defining factor of my life, would be love. For what you say? Everything. Anything that needs love. Yes, even myself. Love is something, maybe the only thing, that's worth pursuing. I believe there's far to little of it in the world today, even in the "Christian" realms. I believe kindness has its limits, where love has none, and because of that, I feel determined to seek it out and truly know what it is to love and be loved.
I'm a Christian, but I really detest that name. I would much rather be called a disciple, but I'm not yet worthy of that name. So currently, I go with what society can recognize the easiest. Unfortunately, with this name comes the harsh stereotypes that have had centuries to ferment. I'll admit, previous generations of "christians" have had less than stellar performances. But, God willing, that has changed. It is my belief that the church does not determine what I do and don't believe, can and can't believe. My walk, my "story", is something personal, between Christ and I. After all, I invited him into my heart, didn't I?
I'm a part of what many would call the "Cross Generation", which simply means, a generation passionately seeking Christ and his Cross, not the Church and their "doctrine." Which, to some people, makes me a heretic, but I have ideological relevance to thank for that. It appears that there is nothing to be anchored to anymore, no solid foundation for...anything! Everyone just goes with what they think is right, which more often than not, is backed up by it feeling good. I have a news flash for those people, not everything that's right, will feel//sound//appear good. This yet another of my beliefs, the fact that sometimes, doing what's right, may contradict what I think is right.
Anyway, enough about me. This is my virb and it's basically my home on the web.
