Novanguarda é o codinome ou banda "imaginaria" do cantor, compositor e multi-instrumentista, Júlio Ferraz. Músico natural de Floresta (cidade de poucos habitantes que fica no sertão de Pernambuco).
Nascido em 2007 "Novanguarda" teve iniciativa de realmente ser uma banda e não apenas um projeto de Julio, mas como em um calculo matemático em que toda formação fosse subtração, ele passou a gravar tudo sozinho e logo estava encarando as grandes metrópoles.
Hoje residindo no Recife, Novanguarda tem em seu currículo, "Razões para nós dois" single e hit que remete uma jovem guarda com overdrives e "quebra cabeças" que já se mostra mais ousada e tranqüila como uma "nova" guarda bem mais alternativa.
Se banhando de folk, rock'n' roll, tropicalismo, e liquidificando a sua própria música, o cantor brinca com sua própria imagem incorporando personagens no palco, que ficam entre a loucura e a lucidez, de seu cotidiano.

Novanguarda is the nickname or 'imaginary' band of the singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Julio Ferraz. Musician from Floresta (small town in the backwoods of Pernambuco).
Born in 2007, "Novanguarda" took the initiative of really being a band and not just a Julio's project, but like mathematical calculation which all formation was substraction, he began to record everything himself and soon was facing big cities.
Nowadays, living in Recife, Novanguarda has in your resumé, "Razões para nós dois" single and hit that refers a 'jovem guarda' with overdriver and "quebra cabeças" that's more daring and calm as a "new jovem guarda" more alternative.
Mixing of folk, rock n' roll, tropicalismo and his own music, the singer plays with his own image incorporating characters on the stage, who are between madness and lucidity, of his daily life.
