Well, as I typed the title to this post I honestly had to moan. What a dumb over used title. But this past weekend these two things really hit me hard.
It all went down like this....

I had just ordered a pair of all brown new balance classics from zappos.com. Within 5 minutes my little sister called me from Saint Paul, MN and the first words out of her mouth were, "Whats your shoe size?" very weird. I told her a twelve then she asked what I was doing that night. I said "nothing much". She said, "Erasure is playing a First Ave, why dont you come and see them, I'll buy your ticket." Immediately I got totally pumped, I have loved Erasure since high school and have never seen them live. Great songs writing, synths, amazing vocals, etc. So I canceled my order, got a pair of monochrome brown Chuck Taylors instead, which just arived today by the way, and called my wife. We decieded to go for it. We never do this kind of spontainous trip but it was just too great to pass up. It turned out to be an amazing time. So much fun!
But two thing really hit me. At the concert I watched a middle aged man just go all out. Give it all he had to sing and entertain and he nailed it. It was so good, and entertaining and powerful, goose-bumps and smiles man, so rad! Tons of people have a great time.
The the next day I went a little coffee shop and had the best latte I have ever had in my whole life. Super good flavor, the foam had a beautiful little leaf and flower design in it from the pour. I watched as the bartista got the perfect ground, amount and stamp on the espresso and brewed it just long enough.
The end result of the concert and the coffee was excellent. I realized I want my life to be like that. Take time to give it your all, to go all out to do things as well as possible. It makes a difference, the extra time is worth it. I need to grow in patience, humility and determination.
