I just upgraded my desktop computer and now I find myself downloading software in order to use it.
Here is my list of essential free software everyone should make use of:

Firefox - still the best free brownser
Media
iTunes - my favourity mp3 player, all my music is organized in it

OpenOffice - best free alternative to MS Office
