Drinking Water?
This pond is actually the water source for several small villages in the northern region. While there are some wells in the area, most are too far for people to walk to in the 100 degree temperatures. The water found here is used for drinking water, bathing, washing clothes and dishes, and is shared with the animals. It is water like this that causes much of the disease and suffering found around the world.
