OFFKEY

Offkey was created in 2004 by Raiden, who wanted to bring a new direction into the scene, with a concept that bridges the gap between Techno and Drum & Bass, in a unique and pioneering format. Heavily influenced by the searing, grinding sound of techno but very much into the rolling break beat sound. Raiden decided to meld the two together creating a fierce, yet deep sound solidly infected with dark elements of funk, truly creating a trademark style within the genre.

Gathering together a group of like-minded producers and also close friends, Raiden has brought a refreshing new sound to the Drum & Bass scene and while also at the same time breaking new talent like The Sect, Propaganda, Temper D, Prode, as well as established names such as The Panacea.

With currently 9 releases under their belt:

OK001 Raiden & Propaganda - Machine Soul / Ratchet
OK002 Raiden & Propaganda - Chernobyl 4 / Point of Contact
OK003 Propaganda - The Real / Axis & Allies
OK004 ThePanacea - Carborundum / Calcifier
OK005 The Sect - Caesium 137(With Raiden) / Kill All Humans / Nerve Attack / Zeroid
OK006 Lethal & Khanage - Jawbreaker / Murkage
OK007 Proket - Show me / Guta / Skafandr (With Raiden) / Kaskad
OK008 Temper D - Minimal Blink / Sun Rise at Sonar
OK009 Propaganda - Blu 82 / Mercernary

Offkey is one label that has stayed true to its original objective of bridging the gap between Techno and Drum & Bass, with each release being a pure technoid monster of Drum & Bass. Already receiving critical acclaim from artists like Dylan, Tech Itch, Ed Rush and Marcus Intalex, plus also from artists like Alex Calver and Dean Rodell within the Techno Scene.

Offkey Ltd is an OFF-SHOOT of Offkey, which is being used get out the tunes people have been requesting, as well as some special others. We are doing this so we can keep the present schedule with Offkey Recordings running smoothly and not affect it in anyway

SubdivisionMedia is also proud to announce the launch of the first ever twinned Techno/Drum & Bass Label "Subsistenz" with the OffKey Family. Cementing our love of all things techno the two collectives will be collaborating on projects to bridge the gap between the two genres. Classic techno tracks will also be remixed from the likes of Propaganda, Raiden all in the very near future.
Subtrakt is a project label for all that are involved with Subdivision and Off-Key allowing us to play and mould the sounds of D&B and Techno into a cauldron of deep dark and dirty Dub.

So as you can see Offkey is becoming one strong collective of artists.

OFFKEY PODCAST VOL4: PROKET

http://feeds.feedburner.com/OffKey

To round up 2007 we bring you the 4th Offkey Podcast by our very own boy wonder: Proket.

Proket's production style is a truly original take on drum and bass, and his status is growing steadily.
The idea behind this mix was to bring together the best that 2007 had to offer in terms of the techno
dnb sound while remembering some of the classic tracks that influenced today's pioneers as well as
a taste of whats to come in the coming year.

Tracks such as Offkey's first release 'Machinesoul' by Raiden and Propaganda, sit alongside the
timeless classic 'Messiah' by Konflict. The work of artists such as Kemal and Rob Data and Stakka
and Skynet have had such a noticeable influence on the Offkey sound that it felt right to include some
of their tracks on this podcast.

2007 has been an important year for the Offkey sound, building on the
original concept of Raiden, Propaganda with new ideas from Lethal and Khanage, storming EP's that
announced the true arrival of The Sect and Proket and a slightly melodic take on the sound from
Temper D. 2008 is now a time to think ahead to what is planned, and this podcast gives you a sneak
peak at what's to come. Very exciting ideas have been thrown around by Techno legend Dean Rodell,
and The Dying Punks project with Raiden is sure to blow the mediocre into oblivion. We can look
forward to Raiden's long awaited Chernobyl LP, where we will no doubt hear his true artistic vision
come to the fold without the limitations of the dancefloor. The multi artist Offkey Firm LP is on its way,
and although most of the tracks are being kept locked away until release, its only because we want
it to be the real genre defining album it deserves to be, and judging from what has been decided on so
far, this is going to be worth the wait.

One thing is for sure, Offkey Recordings has landed, is gathering momentum, and is here to stay.
So get ready for the Russian prodigy to represent with the fourth Offkey podcast.

For Offkey this means big things, especially for early 2008 with Raiden's anticipated solo release, the Offkey Firm LP and lots lots more.

We will be pushing the digital market for Offkey alot further in 2008, what with signing a deal with ST Holdings to distribute to over 30 digital stores. Also expect to see a SPECIAL DIGITAL ONLY EP hitting Tunetribe in the next few weeks if not this coming week.

Merchandise WILL HAPPEN!!! This is my personal (ICHI) gripe at the moment and I am making it my top priority for this month, so any complaints or ideas PM me personally.

Also expect Podcast Vol 4 with Proket to be available in the next week or so, once again another of ICHI's priorities.

So once again, everyone at Offkey wishes you a great 2008.......... and remember dont break those resolutions!!!

NOW BACK TO THE STELLA!!!! :slayer: :slayer:
