Hello friends, It's been a while, huh? Well, I have news. As some (but not most) of you know, I've been recording a new record. I'm very excited! This record will be my first full length, my first chance to wear the hat of producer, my first time on vinyl!, my first opportunity to interpret inspired thought with both creative freedom AND tracking resources present (thanks to David Matysiak, EJ Devokaitis, Molly Parden, Rob Evans and Alex Bhore!), the first time my efforts will have resulted in... well... dare I say... a real record (thanks to Chris Horne and Random Family Records!) and, besides all of that, this collection of songs is rich with personal significance that I am as relieved to get out of my system as I am eager to share with you. Whew! See why I'm excited? So, it is in the spirit of excitement and gratitude that I offer you this tidbit. On Monday, September 14th, "Strung Finger of an Old Dear" (the single from the upcoming album) will be released digitally and available for free download. Download it, burn it, email it, share it, post it - I don't care what you do with it. It's yours. And if you like what you hear, you can pre-order the 7" vinyl (single and b-side) at the Random Family Records website. As always, thank you for your support. my, oh, my! how i love thanksgiving!!!!

my day so far: a.i'm on my second pot of coffee b.i tried soy butter for the first time and i think it might be better than peanut butter c.i been trying to upload new music from the sequel ep on ilike - unsuccessful thus far d.i successfully uploaded new music from the sequel ep on purevolume and virb e.made temporary album art for the sequel ep in microsoft paint - hell yes so, yay, for all of that stuff but this is what i really wanted to tell you: i love thanksgiving. like looooooooooooooove thanksgiving! it's my favorite everything - sound, color, taste, smell, temperature, melody, key, size, kisser - it's my favorite everything.... not only that but this year thanksgiving falls on the 27th... i'm sure i'll end up explaining the significance of this in a song some day but now just know that's alot for one day anyway, in the spirit of the glorious day that is rapidly approaching, i have decided to express my thanks to you - for your support, encouragement, and everything that means to me - with a gift. it will only be available on thanksgiving day beginning at 12 am est, november 27th and it will only be available at virb. com. i'm only posting this once. so don't forget. i'm excited to give you your thanksgiving present!!! :) ~heather
