I've been around since 1947 & ran away with the rock 'n roll circus when I was 17. Played piano in 4 bands, plus 2 in the late '60s / early '70s, when we all went psychedelic thanks to Tim, Ram Dass & Ralph. Got into meditation & hung out in Sri-Lanka playing the monk for a while. Returned to England & formed a trio that played strange versions of old songs from the '30s & '40s. Moved to France where I played in yet another rock band, but the vibe wasn't there so I joined a travelling theatre group. That fell apart & I got into classical music, which I taught & played until I got bored with it. Made a few - 8 - short video movies, one of which was a 9 min clip for "psycho rave", my first excursion into techno, in '93. I'll get it digitalified (that's a good word) & put it on Virb° asap. Bought a good ol' groovebox & then an XP 80 I still use. I don't use a computer for music - though many say I should - hence my trashy sound & habit of saying "that's enough of that" , but I'm funny that way I guess, & though some of my stuff embarrasses me, I can live with it. Well, I mean I'm not trying to do "business as usual" you see.
Anyways... along the road I've been married & divorced twice, & have 2 daughters & 2 sons who are all over 20 now. My south African girlfriend (I hear you, white girl !) is beautiful & I luv her madly.
As for the planet, whew ! What a mess. . . (Virb° excepted !). . . , & I'm convinced that the only way out, the only polite way to kiss matter goodbye, is through symbiotic relationships with the naturally occuring plant hallucinogens.
You won't see me playing anywhere these days. I've had more than a good bash at it. On second thoughts.., watch out, I'm coming out from under the skirting board for a spree of random hits.
May you all be happy !

Haven't been around here of late following a root kit takeover job.... Which, being no geek dude, took quite a time for yours truly to wake up to, or figure out, if you prefer. Well, you have to hand it to these folks (whoever they is), they sure know how to exploit …

If any of you good people should find yourselves in London, you might like to check out Steven Berkoff's stage version of Budd Schulberg's classic movie screenplay from 1954, "On the Waterfront" (Elia Kazan). This play is served by a cast of fabulous actors who, under …

Besides Andrei Tarkovski's films (Nostalghia is my fave), I like most of Robert Altman's stuff. Especially the final "Prairie Home Companion" &, of course, "The Player". Speaking of Tim Robbins, I'm crazy about the Coen bros...... & Clint Eastwood. Fassbinder ? Yes, luv it ! Lynch ? Indeed ! And I'll watch anything with Marilyn Monroe, Sean Buckley or Betty Boop in it. Oh ! Musn't forget John Cassavetes ... & Gena.
I do like music. Thelonious Monk, Puccini, Martha & the Vandellas, Samir Joubran, Return To Mono, dj Moet, Macropsia, Gagosian Liga, Wu - Tang Clan, Joey Beltrram, Philip Glass, Somatose, Fats Waller, Julee Cruise, Bob Marley, BlindMatter, Underworld, Transglobal Temple of Underground Sound, Grace Slick, Doll Imago, Natacha Atlas & The Others...... . Carter Burwell, Modus Magus, Luke Slater, Patsy Moore, .silencio, Vivian Stanshall, Robert Wyatt, Natan Rondelli, Diamond Vampires, Raahsan Roland Kirk & the Vibration Society, Nusa, Dorp, Motôrhead, Dub Syndicate, Vybgyzor, Boris Kovac, Saafi Brothers, Dreadzone, Sean Buckley, Tosca, Rose Kemp, AnOth3r 1, Howling Wolf, John Coltrane, DJ Distinct, Pablo Bolivar, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Jack Black, cochien, Audiofem, Sie, Thunderbird, Jule Grasz, The Temptations, Marvyn Gaye, Ali Farka Touré, Transcryptors, Yeliz K, quiry, Lane Coutell, Liz Ester, Abbey Lincoln, Brainstorm Operations, Arethra Franklin, Intidhar Kamma, Sam the Sham, Neil Christian, Angelo Badalamenti, Gene Vincent, Miles Davis, Malone, Laenn, Pip Williams, George Formby, Screaming Lord Sutch, The Great Orchestra from Outer Space, Tony Ryan-Carter, Eric Dolphy, The Paused, Cow'nDaPossum, ZaZa, Project Lumino & the amazing, the one & only Victoria Vox. Yes, I luv all that., Play on.
Television began with "Do Not Adjust Your Set" & definitively died with Dennis Potter. Ok, "Six Feet Under", & maybe the pilot of "Dead Like Me" are worth retaining.... but the TV has gone to the dogs & down the drain. Drop it from a great height. Smash it to smithereens. RIP.
Gravity's Rainbow, Eyeless in Gaza, Finnegans Wake, The Third Policeman, The Ground Beneath Her Feet, The Invisible Landscape, Cosmofobia, Baudolino, Oliver Poges Lives, Gormenghast Trilogy, Any Old Iron, Les Fainéants dans la Vallée Fertile, Flow My Tears the Policeman Said, The Mayor of Casterbridge, Under the Volcano, Birdsong.................
Harold Pinter, Sam Beckett, Tom Stoppard, Joe Orton, Bill Waggledagger, Angela Samuels, Steven Berkoff, all amateur dramatics, The Archaos Circus, most things that can be done - in a field, a tent or on a stage - under the sun or the moon...... just let there be acting... & actors... & actresses. I once experienced the absolutely amazing 'Turbo Unit' of underground, rave party, fame. It was unique, as is la Compagnie Sandrone, puppet masters most marvelistic.
