Overload Crew

Overload Promotion was created in 2006 and has comprised an idea of advancement of drum'n'bass music in cultural layers of the population of Moscow. The promo-group was finally based after one
crazy party which was a continuation of the performance of a famous rapper Smoki Mo. After that the basic structure of Overload Crew was defined: april2die (dj duke nukem), Dr. Che, s3t selectah and Solid.

At the beginning the promo residents and the invited visitors pushed "heavier in weights" sound, being based on such styles as drum'n'bass, tech-step, dark-step and hard-step. Further the musical component of a command has accepted more or less humane, mainstream sounding. Oldskool jump up and fervent clownstep have replaced brutal forcemeat of darkside and and have started to prevail on the dancefloors of Overload parties.

In connection with these changes the company has organised the Free-parties set in the centre of Moscow under the name "All About Drum'n'Bass" which have strongly affected further promo-group development. The key moment was the performance in Jest' club which collected lots of people and had original, powerful energy. On one of such parties the participant of the first Ukrainian ragga-jungle command, "the daddy" of Ukrainian ragga-jungle Taras Polischuk aka Stepkillah performed in Moscow for the first time .

After the above described event Overload Promotion and Ukrainian ragga-jungle lovers co-operate and keep in contact. At present, the company, as they say, has returned to roots and gives the majority of time to jungle and ragga-jungle music. For today it is possible to consider Overload Crew as undeground collective as the idea of all promotion at present is the maintenance and advancement of Russian jungle music and cultures at level of people who really understand and appreciate it as a modern art integral part. Now members of Overload are engaged in producing their own music and preparing something new for you.
