Pacificstream Information C.I.C. (a Community Interest Company) is a social enterprise based in the Kensington area of Liverpool. The company was established in April 2005 with the following two principle aims:
To promote the creative and digital content industries on Merseyside, with a particular focus on technological development
To facilitate access to a range of European and UK-based research and development projects by members of both the business and education sectors
Pacificstream is committed to regional development, supporting regeneration projects and assisting with the development of sustainable social enterprises on Merseyside.

Roy has extensive experience within education and business. Former Acting Principal of Southport College of Art and Assistant Development Director at St.Helens College. Recently has worked as a business advisor with John Moors University, the British Council and the Arts Council of England. He has also worked on international projects in Europe, the Middle East and SW Asia. Roy is also SFEDI accredited.
Nick is an experienced professional in the fields of Business Development and ICT Consultancy with over 10 years, of delivering business and ICT development including a Business Development role held within an ICT Centre of Excellence at a large HE/FE College. He is experienced in preparing project brief submissions for European and Regional funding sources and is currently developing an ICT Consultancy Framework for private business consortium and ongoing business development consultancy advising employers and SMEs in respect of business development strategies.
Joan has worked in the music industry for many years. Joan is a cultural historian and researcher with a particular knowledge of the music industry in the North West. In addition to working for Pacificstream she is currently studying for a PhD at Liverpool Hope University. Title of proposal: Liverpool Stadium: Investigating a Hidden Chapter of Liverpool's Musical Past.
Rob is the newest addition to the Pacificstream team, Rob Eakins graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2001 with a degree in psychology, before starting his career in international shipping and logistics. He then spent over three years working for a Liverpool-based business support provider, acquiring experience in administration and coordination, research and outreach activities. During this time he gained a Master's degree in Music Industry Studies from the University of Liverpool. Rob has recently launched his own record label, in addition to working as a freelance project manager and researcher for Pacificstream CIC.
VIC Virtual Incubator for the Creative Industries - This Leonardo Pilot project will develop a virtual business incubator for the creative industries using innovative ICT including, CMS, SMS and RSS feeds. The project will provide specific business support and training for start-up creative companies. Of the 12 EU partners, 4 are from the NW.
MoM Medics On The Move - The development of a language tool that helps medical professionals to overcome their linguistic deficiencies in a very efficient way: A unique vocabulary will focus on their linguistic needs in a way that a general language course can never do. This project is in collaboration with Universiteit Antwerpen, Applied Linguistics, Research Unit Language Studies.
e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) is a collaborative project that does exactly 'what it says on the tin'. A partnership between the Department of Health, the NHS and professional medical bodies, it provides high quality e-learning content for the training of the healthcare workforce. The project has a proven track record in delivery, having been first tried and tested in radiology. Other areas, both clinical and non-clinical are now getting involved in an initiative that has been described as 'for the workforce by the workforce'.
Creative Siberia - This project aims to contribute to positive social changes in Russia by bringing Creative Industries approach and expertise to the Siberia region from the UK and to develop an efficient model for creative clusters initiation & development in the industrial cities of Western Siberia including; Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Irkutz. This project is conducted in collaboration with the British Council, Russia.
Au Pairs -The aim of this project is creation of a professional 90-hour training course providing practical knowledge about child care both in English and German at an intermediate level designed especially for people planning to work as au pairs in any English or German speaking country. The course is going to integrate the study of subject matters connected with pedagogical aspects of child development and the practical nature of an au pair's job with improving language competencies necessary for the au pair to perform her/his duties and deal with everyday situations. In order to meet the project targets the course package will be based on an especially designed CLIL methods.
