I was recently married to Jill Renee Boender(now Patrick) in December. I'm in my last year of college. I live in phoenix. We are all following someone's teaching or thoughts on life whether it's somebody else or ourselves. Since the more I follow me, the more confused I get and the more unfair life seems, I figured out that the more I listen to Jesus Christ's teaching, the more life makes sense and the more this life becomes tangible and real.(Rob Bell said it first, but he said it well so...) Also, I do not attend "Current" or RMCC. Finally, life is usually pretty smooth but...ah...sometimes...

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?

Here is an interesting discourse about the Gospel being Doxological (i.e. worship, praise): "Underneath every sin is idolatry, and underneath idolatry is always some form of "works/self-salvation project. Because whenever you make something more important than God that thing is essentially a savior of yours. The first commandment is that you've got to believe the Gospel--you can't look to anything else for your justification--and that is the basis for every other sin. Everything from eating disorders to racism is a self-salvation project, a failure to believe the Gospel, and some form of idolatry. You've either made an idol of thinness or an idol of your race and your blood. And if that's the case, if your heart is adoring and doting on something other than God, than the only way anybody ever gets changed is through worship." (Tim Keller quoting and expounding upon Martin Luther's Larger Catechism).
