Today, Virb launched their version 2.0. This makes me quite overjoyed! The new site is very well designed, speedy, and excessively cool. I'm going to take this opportunity to tell Virb some things I think they need to hear (and am sure they already know).
- You are an island of cool in a sea of mediocrity. 'nuff said.
- You are not Facebook. Do not let yourselves be overrun with annoying applications and spam/chain-letters.
- You are not MySpace. Do not let yourselves be overpowered by advertisements and commercialism.
- You are not Orkut. Keep it secret; keep it safe.
- You are not 4chan. Interpret that however you wish.
- Eat as many cupcakes as you can healthily eat daily. They put a smile on your face and keep you from punching annoying users in the throat.
- You have an awesome design. Never sacrifice design for squeezing in useless new features that 1% of people use.
- Keep up the good work. You work hard, we evangelise. You might want to lay off the caffeine for a while; this last year's hard work might be destroying your caffeine-processing organs.
With all that being said, I'm so happy that you've put the hard work into creating an awesome website. You might be big n00bs, but you're sure l33t.
