Daniel Lewis Diedrich is a singer/songwriter, currently hailing from Omaha, Nebraska. He plays guitar in a local pop group, known as Electric Needle Room, and he is a founding member of a folk duo called Spiders For Love (S4L). Diedrich has been writing songs for over a decade, and performing almost just as long. He's been a member of several rock and metal bands, Silver Man, Gutwrench, Scrape With a K, and taken on a few experimental projects, Hugh Manitee, and Satanspenpal. Between 2006-2008, he released two self-pressed ep's, along with a handful of outtakes and cd singles, and just released an ep and single in 2008 with S4L. His influences range all the way from modern indie rock acts like Sonic Youth, and Flaming Lips, to classic folk and country singers such as Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. His songs and technique are often compared to the likes of Beck, The Lemonheads, and Wilco, as well as Nirvana (Unplugged), even Tom Waits. Diedrich got his start, opening for The Sprawl at Kirby's Beer Store in Wichita, Kansas, where he grew up. He eventually established a house spot at Kirby's, playing every Sunday for awhile, and has since shared the stage with a variety of well known bands and artists, and played in several venues throughout the mid-west. Currently he is planning the release of a brand new album on Hell-o Ferocious Records.
