Well, we are finally getting into a routine with the new baby. He is really awesome. I guess he takes after his mother. School is busy, for me as a student and for me as an instructor. One of the computer labs I teach in is getting 20 brand new iMacs this Thursday. Been in the process of making some new prints. Right now, I am pulling some lithographs of some of the images in my "Newest Suite" photo gallery. I just pulled, Fully Known and this weekend I am going to pull, Incorruptible Seed.
Gonna go play with the boy now. See ya.

I finally got a break the other day. I got two of my prints select to be in October's Journal of Art and Design, Creative Quarterly. One print, "Agronomic Parable" was given a Merit award and the other "Desire of the Nations", was awarded a bronze editor's choice award. If you want to see the awards list.
Also, two more weeks and my son should be making his grand appearance in this world. Gives me a since of hope on 9/11.

I can't quite changing it. I am learning a lot of coding right now, so I keep wanting to try new things. I am still a better artist than I am a programmer. But I'll keep at it.

I am in the process of remaking my website. I am trying to change the whole look of my current one. I am shooting for June 15, but it may take a little long. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the interest.

We went to our first sonogram yesterday. Right away the nurse found his male-hood. It was absolutely amazing. To see him in there kicking away and sucking on his fist was a great joy, Praise God. It is cool how the whole experience becomes much more real once you find out what sex "it" is. We're going to have a boy. We praise God! I am so excited to see what destiny my Lord has for our little prince.

I was listening to her tummy today with my stethoscope. Here lately, we have been able to pick a clear whisper of a heartbeat. Today, on Mother's Day, was extra special. As I was pressing the stethoscope on her tummy, our little one started pushing back. At first I felt a little freaked, but soon overwhelmed with joy. She was feeling it too. We both smiled. I kissed her. I love them both so much.

It is nice, those times in between busy and busy that we get a chance to breath. I finished my last class today that will award me a Master of Arts degree. But the next set of projects loom in the near horizon. Another degree, a baby, life. But for the next few days I can rest. I am making an artist book about my work from the last year and I had to ask my brother about what it was like growing up with me in regards to art. He said one of the most encouraging things I have heard in relation to me being an artist. He said, "I thought about it, and I can't see you doing anything else." It made me laugh inside because I took it as a complement, but that could mean I am good a nothing else. I know his heart, so I know he was not calling me dummy. It is funny how people saw you as you were growing up. Their perceptions, their "critiques." So as I walk across that academic stage this weekend, I will be thinking about what I am doing here, about my journey, who is traveling with me, and those who have been my support lines.
Mother's Day coming up Sunday, all you sons tell your Mamas you love them.

I belong to Christ, I am a husband and father, an artist and printmaker.
My work and imagery are a response to spiritual and practical concerns within my walk of faith. I prefer to express myself through personal conviction, celebration and rebuke. I believe peace will conquer conflict, I believe unity will disperse division, I believe love will massacre hate and Truth will never sleep.
