we are an uplifting / depressing pop band from bellingham. our favorite things in the world are cute animal costumes and really disgusting sexual graffiti. we've never seen the redwoods, but we hope to soon. we think we're dying, we really do! but we keep on living. we don't know why -- we think it has something to do with evolution.
HERE'S WHAT SOME NICE PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT OUR MUSIC:
REVIEW 1
jeff ballew (after a show): "how did you like go slowpoke?"
girl 1: "it was really good, but it was so sad! i thought it would get better as the set went along, but it just got worse!! i just wanted to give the lead singer a hug and tell him everything was going to be okay!"
REVIEW 2
psych ward patient to joel, upon hearing forty seconds of be less embarrassing: "jesus, joel! would you mind putting on something a little less fucking depressing??"
REVIEW 3
peter (at bar, introducing friends): "hey brian, this is the girl all my songs are about!"
brian stephens: "aww, that's sweet!"
girl 2: (shaking brian's hand) "yeah right. just wait until you hear the words."

Haha, that's funny about the DOS, because the same thing happened to me! I wasn't sure, so I just didn't say anything. Oh well, next time we'll know for sure. But about Spokane, yes, yes, and yes please. I might be setting up a show for the school sometime in march or April and if so I'll put you on the bill and pay you well worth your trip out here. I'll find somebody wicked sweet to play with you and it will be a good time. And then afterward we could go out or something and you can experience the rich cultural scene of Spokane. Sarcasm. But seriously, we'll have a good time.

Yeah, well I (Shea) am pretty much the only one on the Sweaty Sweaters staff these days....one can only do so much.... will work on what you call our public relations department. perhaps you would like to join our staff.? must admit, though, it does not pay much....maybe a drink or two bonus when the money is right. one day (sigh). sure love ya and miss ya. eat pudding. but only if you feel like it..

I don't think there's any really good places to play between here and Seattle, but I can probably get you a show at my school, in which case it would definitely be worth your while financially to make your way over here. I want you to get big over here, because you have good music...so I'll spread the word and hopefully you can make a visit.

dear you,
You should come play a show in Spokane. That's where I live now and I have a house and we're doing a series of dinner shows...good food and good music. If you are going to be on a tour or if you just want to make a road trip this way, you should definitely play here. We are HUGE fans of your music. Keep being awesome.
