i dont like typing properly so im not going to.
anyway... i was born in springfield MO where i grew up and moved to and from several times. MO aka misery (missouri, for the stupid ones... just kidding, no seriously you should know that) is a pretty cool place, nothing to do, but cool to look at. i graduated high school finally in 2007. theres not much to tell about school, i hated every second of it!
I love to mountain bike. i wish FL offered better trails than ones that are paved... i love the outdoors and pretty much anything that you can do outdoors. the summer of 2007 was probably my favorite summer. i worked at a christian camp for children/adults with special needs (camp barnabas) i consider this camp to be the best place on earth. the people there are so amazing. it really puts ones life in perspective to work with people with special needs. i saw the children who were in wheelchairs and who could barely move, let alone take care of themselves, not even be bothered by their disability. their disability wasnt bad in their eyes. seeing this made every problem that i had ever had, seem as little as getting a scratch on my finger. i had been making my stupid little problem something huge so people would feel sorry for me. I have seen people in this world who have it so much worse then i do, and they are the happiest people that i have ever met. it is a christian camp and it is very evident that God is present. it is amazing how much love is there. it is almost like there is a spring that gushes love and patience.
i learned a lot about myself and how to treat others at camp barnabas. i learned that problems that i have are nothing compared to what these people face everyday, yet they are happy as can be. never again will i look at a person with special needs and feel sorry for them or look at them differently. yes, they work on a different pace as "most" people, but at least they are happy with their life. they know that they are different but that doesnt stop them from living out their life.
next time you want someone to feel sorry for you because you might be going through some "rough" times, just remember that there are people out there who have it much worse who are happy as can be................................................................
I aways jump at the chance to help out someone, weather it is giving some money to the guy holding the sign at aloma and semoran, or by giving my old clothes to the salvation army. So, when i found out about Toms shoes, i just had to find out more about them!!
for every shoe bought, a pair is donated to a child in need. that is the toms mission.

You gotta be the funniest person alive, but you're also a good person man. I still want to do that church gathering we were talking about one day. Helping the less fortunate is the best feeling in the world. Lookkkkkk uppppp herreeee!!! *high pitched voice*. =P
Home Sweet Homeless, Mar 4, 2008:
Well, step one is come to the next potluck (April 12th at Lake Eola) and start to get to know some of the homeless we serve. Bring something to share as it is a potluck and start to hear stories and join hearts. There are other steps, but this is the first. We're stoked on your heart to serve and can't wait to meet you.
