since 1990 he got infected by the electronic virus. first as a visitor of the early illigal raves and after a few years of complete madness he started to get intersted in the part of dj-ing. in the beginning mostly playing harder house tunes, but he didn't like thewhole vocal thing and sometimes cheesy grooves. and after a sunny day on the first dance valley he heard billy nasty play on the mainstage...not sure what it was but he immidiatly knew that this was the sound for him..no vocals, pumping kicks, deep grooves and nasty cuts..lovely... ofcourse he needed to start his own platform as there were not many techno related things going on in his hometown rotterdam back in the days. gabber/hardcore and cheesy house was the main thing. as he was strictly spinning techno tunes the name "strictly techno" was born. ever since that day he has been throwing techno events on a monthly basis. illigal ones, legal ones in small venues, big ones, free editions and rare locations. strictly techno became a trademark for good, solid techno parties where he combined performances of international wellknown artists with all the best that the street dj's have to offer...a platform for all musical exspression... as a established dj in his hometown rotterdam he has performed in most of all the clubs and played alongside all the big names such as speedyj, gayle san, jeff mills, chris liebing,surgeon, laurent garnier, secret cinema, steve stoll and many more... in the past year he started to get more involved in producing and working with digital equipment rather than the spinning with the old vinyls and a mixer. " i can do so much more with my creativity using lap tops, software such as traktor and ableton and some effects and controllers than i can do with just 2 or 3 turntables". due to the work he does as a "tourmanager" for speedyj and collabs3000 together with chris liebing, he got more and more convinced that this was the next best thing.
so after 12 years of developing his dj skills.. he now is at a new starting point. a new phase of learning and evolving to take his techno passion to another level.
