The Defintion Of Minimal Sep 26
...although the word hasn't changed, the meaning certainly has.
I would say my more recent influences have come from the minimal, techno, house, and electro scenes that can be heard in London's club scene. In the past I have supported and been involved and the garage, indie, and old-skool scenes. Although the indie scene remains (but over commercialized), everything else I listened to had faded out or moved on to something less appealing. I now needed to grasp on to something new, and with my first pill came my house and techno love affair. Since then I have followed the music though it's more recent stages.
As far as genres go, I don't think it is possible to classify my music - and I don't attempt to either. Because of all the sub-genres you hear nowadays, trying to build and place your music in a specific genre only leads to the music being restricted in some way. With the amount of different types of music I listen to and what I'm influenced by, there really wouldn't be any point in trying to categorize it.
I have been making music on and off for a while, but never taken it beyond my circle of listeners. With the rise of net music, spare time, and maturity, this is my opportunity to hopefully gain popularity and promote myself.
