I graduated from Nyack College in NY with a film degree almost two years ago, and am currently working for a small media company, Sideshow Media Group. In the past three years, I've directed five short films, one feature length, and worked on several short pieces as a part of Sideshow. I enjoy directing, but I'm also partial to screenwriting, editing, and shooting my films.
My most recent film took home the Judges Award at the Through the Glass Darkly Film Festival presented by Tribeca Cinemas in NYC. In 2005 I edited and shot a short piece (Do You Love Me?) that took home gold at the 2005 Telly Awards. This past August I made the move with seven friends across the country from just north of NYC to just east of LA.
I believe that visual media is one of the most powerful forms of communication in the world. Films start trends; they begin and end eras. I'm a fan of honest storytelling, and I'm pretty sure that your beliefs are always evident in your art. I feel like more honesty-and less extravagence-is needed in Hollywood. The feature film industry's declining, frankly, because of a lack of originality; a lack of tangibility. Back in the late sixties, Bob Dylan said, "The times, they are 'a changin'". We should probably be keeping that up.

Truly one of the better bands from yesteryear. I wish I could catch them live...I only saw them once for free at Amoeba in one of my favorite acoustic shows of all time.

Don't forget to add yourself to www.whatstoeatla.com ...all the cool people are doing it. And really...there's also something slightly "inner-nerdy" about knowing the secrets of LA.
Aubrey, Jan 29, 2007:
I have friends that should write comedies...you are one of them.

Aubrey, Jan 26, 2007:
The times they are a changin'...I do beleive that with the nucleus of friends that are shared that great works should be flowing from it...continuously. Discipline and persistance should abound in leaps. Please don't be lazy (not saying you are) in pursuiing nothing short of pure imagination and excellence. Now get to work.
