Heaps of stuff happening in the next month or so. The Ignition Fringe Festival kicks off Friday 13 June. There are a few exciting out-of-towners coming through in June (more on those later) and a whole swag of local talent on show.
The Shrugs release their new album How To Knit A Pony this Saturday, 24 May at Yellow Submarine. I've heard it, and it's rully choice.

Have you ever wondered how many bands you could see in one weekend? Want to find out? Next Friday, 30 May, Demon Skateboarding Organisation and Nick's Music Basement bring Sumo Love Machine, Skelitor, Harvest and Affliktion to Ward Lane. It's only $5, doors open 8pm. Then on Saturday it's the 4th Annual Hamilton Circle Jerk, with over a dozen Hamilton reprobates playing local songs. This year's Circle Jerk is at Digger's back bar on Hood Street, and features The Shrugs, Matthew Bannister, Rumpus Room, Wilberforces and the Stevie Ray, Cream, Hendrix and Snoop Dogg Experience. If you're new to Circle Jerk-ing, read all about last year or check out the photos from 2007, 2006 and 2005.
