In 2000 like minded drum'n'bass DJ's Source and Jet Li established Phase 2 as a heading for the promotion and production of quality drum'n'bass.

Phase 2 was launched with a series of nights featuring UK guests including Marcus Intalex, Total Science and A-Sides. This guests were accompanied on the decks by the Phase 2 residents and young local DJs many of who would never have plyaed out before.

Under the Phase 2 banner, Source, Jet Li and the MC Wuzza, held down a three year residancey at The Half Moon Club and Djed all over Ireland.This included regular slots at the Bassbin nights in Dublin and the Nu Killa nights in Limerick.

In 2001 Phase 2 and Bassin joined forces to bring the Irish Junglists the first of three annual drum’n’bass weekenders on Valentia Island in Kerry. The weekend was called Jungle Republic and it has been cemented in Irish drum’n’bass folklore.

Now the focus is on Phase 2 Recordings. Primarily an outlet for Jet Li's studio output it will also feature releases from other Irish artists and anyother like-minded producers out there!
