About
Phasen is the alias assumed by Ryan Parmer in his efforts as a downtempo musician. Heavily influenced by Psychedelia of both the 60's (Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, The Beatles) and today (Black Moth Superrainbow, LSD and The Search For God, Tycho), Phasen reflects a plethora of different styles into one, unique sound.
Currently a student at the University of Florida, Phasen records in his spare time. He has only been producing for two years now, but already is becoming one of the most prolific electronic acts in the world, having put out over 10 full-length solo albums and a great deal of remixes and compilation tracks in a year and a half.
In late 2008, Phasen started [Unnamed Label] Records with Mark.Nine and Five Step Path.
