Pianogirl is Am Y.
A Bachelor of Arts graduate from the National University of Singapore, her first calling was as a secondary school teacher. After leaving the profession, she turned to music full-time while pursuing a Masters degree in Education.
Today, Pianogirl teaches, performs, and composes classical, jazz, pop, and a wide variety of other genres of piano music.
Though classically trained, much of her music is improvised, based on a random, sporadic motif that hits her at that particular moment in time.
Call it a spontaneous snapshot of time, space, mood and emotions, if you will, complete with momentary hesitations and slip-ups - an exact replay is never possible as no score is ever used, and improvisation details differ each time.
All songs and motifs are original unless otherwise stated.
Enjoy.

Actually, there is a lot of good software ROMPLERS/SAMPLERS that offers decent sounds of 'ethnic' instruments (Chinese, Africa, India) for PC & MAC. I think That your Yamaha synthesizes sounds in real time and it's not a ROMPLER (doesn't play sampled sounds), but I may be wrong about that :)
I can write more if you want to now about sampled Chinese instruments (in software domain) & even record some 'demo' of it.

Hi!! I've listened to your songs here on Virb... Congratulations, your music is very relaxing, and open the mind... I play piano too, but it's only for 2 years, and I'm not so well.. I hope I'll get better and playing music so cool... Bye!

Woohoo! Thank you for the very kind words! I might be making a trip down to SG sometime early next year. Will definitely keep you posted. And yeah, finding venues with reasonable rentals in SG can be dicey. Doesn't sound like much fun. Eek. Lol... But I'm sure you'll do well. I''ll send some positive energies your way! :)
