Kelly Ryall is an award winning composer and sound designer who has worked in the realm of theatre, film and special events for the last 15 years. He has worked as composer and musician with his band High Pass Filter over the last 10 years, releasing four albums and touring extensively both nationally and internationally.
In 2005 he received a Green Room Award for Best Sound Design with Arabian Night and a Fringe Award for Best Design (Sound) for The House of Application. In 2007 he received Green Room nominations for his 2006 work on Charcot (Full Dress Productions) and A mile In her Shadow (Storeroom Theatre Workshop).
Recent composition and sound design work includes:
Arabian Night, The Woman Before(Theatre@Risk). Chocolate Monkey & Spacemunki (The Amazing business),Smashed, The Room (The Storeroom Theatre Workshop) and Puppy Love (best performance, fringe 2005), This Thousand Years I Shall Not Weep (Angus Cerini - Doubletap) and Pink Denim in Manhattan (Next Wave), Saving Henry vs 5 (FULL TILT), Chapters from the Pandemic (Angus Cerini - Doubletap) and Mercury Fur (Little Death). ABC Radio National recently commissioned his work for a radio version of Smashed. He has also composed the music for a number of short films, documentaries, TV comercials and websites.
He is co-founder of the Amazing Business and an artistic associate of the Store Room Theatre Workshop.
