About

It's not normal for a dangerous mixture of talent and attitude to come together to make a devastating musical statement. Pilots Today breaks the rules when it comes to musical energy, delivering a powerful payload of ecstatic melodies and symmetric harmonies designed to make the listener feel exactly what the Pilots Today are feeling. Pilots Today has worked hard, and it pays off. Practicing together nearly every day, the members that make up this explosive foursome have honed in on each other's style and personality, making them solid as a concrete wall. From sweet songs about life and love, to eerie statements of rejection and abandon, the songs are written with clear ideas that listeners can relate to.
Pilots was founded in January of 2007, however; their roots go much farther back then that. Cris and Jon had been playing together since middle school, writing music and recording various instrumental tracks. They kept their eyes open for a talented vocalist and in January of 2007 they invited singer/songwriter James Dominguez to come on board as lead vocalist. Frans, the amazing new bassist was recently added to complete the sound. Together, the four form Pilots Today. They have a wide variety of major influences including, but not limited to, groups such as Muse, Vendetta Red, Loudermilk, Tool, U2, and Billy Talent.

Battle of the Bands

The crew took part in a battle of the bands put on by Gorilla Productions on Sunday night. Everyone there rocked hard and sounded good, as any band ought when playing through a sound system like that of Studio 7. Two of the seven bands present got to move on to the …

Studio 7: Broken Mics and Bloody Hands

PT played Studio 7 last night and had a wicked good time. The venue is great, the people were great, and we received musical approval from the security guy. All in all, a successful night. Jon and I slammed a couple of energy drinks prior to load-in (a ritual that is …

Jimmy Jack's - W00t.

Yeah. I said 'w00t'. Our culture finally decided to make zeros pronouncable... how glad I am. We just booked the ol' band for back to back nights at a family bar. It appears to be one of those shows that you do just for the money, but who knows, maybe it'll be great fun …

Tired Tiger, Jul 24, 2008:

Hey thanks for the comment. Messy Hair the guitar is clean. The Bass is doubled up, and one is clean so you can hear the note, and one is some Distortion setting in Garage Band. Live i just use Bass with the distortion setting on my Jackson Amp, with a D.o.d. Punkifier pettal, a Ibanez tube screamer and a Danelectro reverb ( corned Beef). It did take me along time mixing to get the right recorded sound for the Bass, but you can find them in Garage Band. If you record on Garage i will tell you the exact setting.
Take Care.
