Another sunday working at home in between my new coming up collection and some art works for Ruby Sterling ( i am VERY happy that i have a chance to work with him for his fabric sculpture projects that he exhibits all around the world, lots of inspiration for me) and listening Eckhart Tolle's audio books over and over again :).
Eckhart Tolle emerged as a great spiritual leader over the last few years. His teaching through such powerful work as The Power of Now ( i guess it is my favorite books of his), and A new Earth :Awakening to your life purpose guides all to truth, through being present in the moment in the Now, and awakening to who we truly are: natural state of Being.
here are some of my favorite quotes from Eckhart Tolle, ( there are much much more then this on his books) and i am sure so many other Spiritual leaders mentioned these in different ways .But i feel like some of these will be meaningful for you too. I came across with his teaching when i most needed to hear them :)
"Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at this moment""
Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry all forms of fear are cause by too much future, and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence"
"[Relationships] do not cause pain and unhappiness. They bring out the pain and unhappiness that is already in you"
Whenever anything negative happens to you, there is a deep lesson concealed within it, although you may not see it at the time"
Nothing out there will ever satisfy you except temporarily and superficially, but you may need to experience many disappointments before you realize that truth"
Once you have made peace with the present moment, see what happens, what you can do or choose to do, or rather what life does through you.
There are three words that convey the secret of the art of living, the secret of all success and happiness: One with Life. Being one with life is being one with Now. You then realize that you don't live your life, but life lives you. Life is the dancer and you are the dance.
"Be present as the watcher of your mind -- of your thoughts and emotions as well as your reactions in various situations. Be at least as interested in your reactions as in the situation or person that causes you to react. Notice also how often your attention is in the past or future. Don't judge or analyze what you observe. Watch the thought, feel the emotion, observe the reaction. Don't make a personal problem out of them. You will then feel something more powerful than any of those things that you observe: the still, observing presence itself behind the content of your mind, the silent watcher.
The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some superhuman accomplishment, and the ego likes to keep it that way, but it is simply your natural state of felt oneness with Being.
."All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness"
You may not yet be able to bring your unconscious mind activity into awareness as thoughts, but it will always be reflected in the body as an emotion, and of this you can become aware." Humanity is under great pressure to evolve because it is our only chance of survival as a race. This will affect every aspect of your life and close relationships in particular. Never before have relationships been as problematic and conflict ridden as they are now. As you may continue to pursue the goal of salvation through a relationship, you will be disillusioned again and again. But if you accept that the relationship is here to make you conscious instead of happy, then the relationship will offer you salvation, and you will be aligning yourself with the higher consciousness that wants to be born into this world.
"Love, joy, and peace cannot flourish until you have freed yourself from mind dominance"
"Nobody's life is entirely free of pain and sorrow. Isn't it a question of learning to live with them rather than trying to avoid them? The pain that you create now is always some form of nonacceptance, some form of unconscious resistance to what is.
"Power over others is weakness disguised as strength. True power if within, and it is available to you now"
What is God? The eternal one life underneath all the forms of life. What is love? To feel the presence of the one life deep within yourself and all creatures; to be it! Therefore, all love is the love of God.
Happy Sunday :)
