Platte River Rain began as a semi-acoustic duo between two Omaha natives, singer-songwriter Ashley Rayne Boe and a scruffy river rat named George Prescott. After playing local and regional venues as a duet, they found their perfect third in the rythmically gifted bass player and percussionist, B. Anthony. Ashley's open and often emotional lyrics found a perfect match in the fingerstyling acoustics of Prescott's guitar and the original rythyms of southern Louisina native B. Anthony. Today, Platte River Rain is bringing in listeners of all age groups and backgrounds with their creative sound that is hard to classify, except perhaps as Emo-folk, due to its emotional melodic nature and honest lyrics. Like dew drops across the human experience, their songs are a blend of introspective thought, real life, and an unabashed look upon the human condition.
Platte River Rain is currently in studio working on their much anticapated debut album, soon to be relased by Deka records.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov)
