Well, so far, I'm impressed with the layout and functions of Virb. I'm not quite sure yet the tangible value of these social networking websites. I'd love to see a comparison between the number of people who have a MySpace page, and the number who check it regularly. Once the novelty wore off, MySpace had surprisingly little to offer. Clunky interface, media players that don't work, spammers, spammers, an overabundance of advertising, spammers. Plus, once you've said "hey, how's it going?" to your junior high girlfriend and done a survey, you've kind of done it all.

So this is my own little experiment in the Web 2.0 universe. I'm going to see if I can make some sort of meaningful connection with someone I've never met before, on the internet, based solely on our shared interests. I'll keep you posted.
