Over Bodies do We Thrive - Africa

Technorati Profile

Darfur is located in Sudan. And it is not.

It hangs in your bedroom. Drowns in your coffee. It is hung to dry as clothes and hats.

Darfur, and all of Africa is being eviscerated for the sake of the world. Though news agencies have begun reporting atrocities in Darfur, Rwanda, Angola, none have truly explained the strife as it was created, its perpetuation nor for those intent on sustaining it as they are in Sudan.

Africa, historically, has always enjoyed an integral relationship, symbiotic, with the land, the earth, and the process of life. Tribes have coexisted on its surface, hunting, sowing, and cultivating an existence along self sufficiency. There is not resource for "resource", "material", or "development" in Africa. Were Africa left to exist as it has successfully for thousands of years, Africa would be abundant in provision.

The same is true of every continent. Eskimos survive in the colder regions of the world just as efficiently and successfully as people within the Andes of South America; across the plains of the United States. This can be said of any nomad tribes which previously coexisted in harmony. Now only their ghosts remain.

Not to place blame on the United States, we should address Africa, its plight, its destruction from an Occidental perspective - The West. These governments, including our own, have development generating necessity. Necessity to acquire. Necessity to invade. Necessity to sustain. Necessity to raid - it is integral to civilization as we know it.

However, what escapes us is our carnal behavior as we indulge our appetites. Natural resources are devoured past their capacity to regenerate. Trees, coal, human life all are consumed, equally and ferociously through war, invasion, mining, and murder.

Readers who review journals, articles, and examinations of the situation in Darfur should retain consideration that the injection of Occidental thought within the region exploited Africa's limited capacity to defend itself.

This is not new. During World War II, while other soldiers returned to their countries, heros, paid, and cared for, Africa was enslaved again, redeposited afterwards with little compensation or consideration, lest a bandage cost the enslaving country consideration.

Beyond country the notion of solidarity is intimate with human freedom. It is not granted, provided for, or should ever require defense or the defense of its resources. Human life is the freedom and autonomy of its solidarity.

The wealth of L'Occident has assembled armies to defend against foreign invasion seeking its: Petroleum, Grain Production, Metals, and Technology. L'Occident has starved itself to sustain projected growth. L'Occident has assembled armies to protect its interest, not human life in Africa. L'Occident has a by product it has chosen to live with - strife and discord.

With the appearance of Occidental thought, the world has watched the systematic removal of all nomadic models - those of inter-personal reliance and cultural-integration - of self sustenance and harmony with the available resources. These models have always secured life and in Africa, the preservation of life for Humanity.

The L'Occident; France, Germany, England, Russia, and others, having expended their natural resources - well past established reserve quotas. They have sought wealth, and are now mining Human life in Africa to sustain their wealth. They are intent on depleting it before the publicized fact of murder and genocide warrants global regard.

There no longer exists a natural defense against this. We have consumed it. Processing Africa began with the establishment of enclaves of western might. Under guise of religious organizations, L'Occident is establishing outposts whose their sole purpose is secure reason for mining and murder.

We should reflect and acknowledge that these tactics are not unlike those used during the expansion to and the development of the West in the United States. We should also note that this is not a North American perspective, but a world ailment - the disregard of human life for the purpose of sustaining commercial needs.

Depleting Africa of her resources through slaughter, war, starvation, and the removal of hundreds of thousands of human beings for the sake of establishing an Occidental agenda is atrocious. It is an abomination against human life.

Little association has been offered between commodities in the world market and human life other than "Blood Diamonds". Our reliance on consumer markets and daily consumption, are in fact the "diamonds" we dispense.

It's time we awoke to the horror of our reality.
