Rachel Hurley is a freelance music writer, production coordinator, amateur radio host on Breakthru Radio, New Media Coordinator for Ardent Studios, moderator for Ardent Forums, rock photographer and the best drinking partner you've ever had. She is the publisher of Scenestars.net and Rachelandthecity.com, and has written for Spin.com, Projectdu.com, The Commercial Appeal, Image Magazine, Breakthruradio.com and various other rags. She has worked as a music supervisor and associate producer for MTV, VH1, Disney, ESPN and RCN.
She grew up in Memphis and attended the University of Memphis where she studied Philosophy, which basically means she has no tangible skill set. Therefore, she moved away to work in entertainment. After two boring winters in Nashville and five cold winters in New York City, she has returned home to Memphis where all the bartenders know her name.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music, dear Rachel!
