Randy Goudeau Jr. was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he grew up with his parents and twin sister, Rachal. During the summer of 1990, after a weekend of partying at a rock concert, Randy fell asleep at the wheel on his return home and struck multiple trees. His car immediately caught on fire and within several minutes it exploded with Randy barely 10 yards away. In October of the same year his best friend told him, "Randy, if you would have died in your car you would have gone straight to hell." Randy was shocked at this statement since his friend was not a Christian either. Reality began to set in and so these two young men made a decision that would forever change their lives. That very next week, at a Wednesday night youth service, Randy and his friend gave their lives to Jesus Christ, were set on fire and within three weeks Randy was preaching out of the back of his truck in parking lots and sharing the Gospel with any who would listen.
Several years passed and Rebecca was brought into Randy's life. September 3rd of 1994 they were married at the age of twenty. Randy and Becky began full-time ministry in October of 1995 working with youth and serving in the maintenance and upkeep of church grounds. Over the past decade Randy and Becky have given their lives to the salvation of the lost, discipleship of the saved and pursuit of the great commission. They have developed great leaders and dynamic youth groups in Arkansas and in Louisiana. The Goudeau's also spend time mentoring youth pastors as well as ministering in churches and at youth conferences all over the nation.
In June of 2006 Randy and Becky along with their four beautiful children moved from South Louisiana to New York City, obeying the call of God to plant a church in Lower Manhattan. Their desire is to see all of Lower Manhattan impacted by the gospel of Jesus Christ and to bring freedom to a bound generation. They are excited about the call God has given them to begin planting churches and about stepping into this new phase of their lives as Senior Pastors of The Gathering Church.
