Hello everybody!

If you've read my bio, you know that I am in a unique position. In addition to planting and pastoring a church in Lower Manhattan (which is going AWESOME - I'll update you soon!) I am Pastor Bill Wilson's youth pastor! Tomorrow morning I will be meeting with him in his apartment (YAY!) as we finalize an intense strategy that we believe will reach literally tens of thousands of youth a week across New York City over the next few years.

Already Pastor Bill's ministry, Metro Ministries, impacts at least 20,000 inner city children a week with the gospel of Jesus Christ! That's not counting South Africa, Asia, Europe, the UK, or any of the many other nations and cities Metro has invaded. This next year they will be launching out in the Middle East! Building on the rich foundation that he and his awesome staff have laid over the last 27 years, we believe to see a harvest of youth like we have never heard of before. Currently, his sidewalk ministry has approximately 150 sites across the City where they meet weekly.

Pastor Bill and I have been 'BURNING' together over the last few months concerning the youth ministry and now we are in the final stages before we launch out. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real impact in New York. As well, many people on our team will have an opportunity for full-time ministry. What an exciting time to be in the ministry! I have received a WEALTH of insight and strategy from my good friend Pastor Joel Stockstill. His youth ministry is EXPLODING across Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas as they minister to 5,000 youth a week!!! This year they expect to grow to 10,000! Judging by their character, integrity, passion, and wisdom, I believe they will exceed that number!!!

Becky and I want to say thank you for your prayers and support, and ask that you would continue to lift us up before God during this incredible season of our lives. Before we moved to Brooklyn, the Lord gave us a word from I Corinthians 16:9 (NLT) "There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me." That word adequately describes the last year of our life. Anytime you step out in obedience to the Lord to do a great work, you can expect opposition. Opposition many times can be a sign that you are right in the middle of the perfect will of God. We are holding onto the word God gave us as we focus on the wide-open door here at Metro to do a great work for the youth of New York City!
