Steve Ranford is a key figure at the forefront of Worcester’s house music scene. In addition to his residency at The Pheasant/Bar 11 he is also known for playing at Velvet Lounge & Mode and at parties such as Chocolate Source, NOiZE and The Breakfast Club.

Steve began his love affair with DJing over 12 years ago after a fascination with mixtapes led to him investing in a pair of Technics 1210’s and mixer where he spent the many hours necessary to learn the trade.

A house music fanatic, Steve spent many hours searching the Midlands’ best record shops looking for those hidden gems and hands-in-the-air anthems that lead everyone to the dancefloor. A recent embracement of CDJ technology means he can access even more great music, which guarantees his sets are always interesting, exciting and up to date.

His first gig came in the form of a Thursday night residency at the infamous Worcester Courtyard going back-to-back with Tomas Caitling.

After a hiatus, Steve secured his place at the heart of Worcester nightlife in 2007 with a Friday night slot at Velvet Lounge and his current Saturday night residency at The Pheasant/Bar 11, where he plays the freshest, coolest and funkiest house to Worcester’s ever demanding crowds.
