My name is Ras. Ras rhymes with jazz. I'm named after my great-grandfather, although he went by R.W. I'm 26 years old and I'm originally from Rome, GA, but now I call Atlanta home. I am engaged to be married on September 1, 2007 to a beautiful young lady named Leigh. She is the coolest person that I have ever met and I'm blessed to have her in my life.

I love playing music, listening to music, going to see live music, pretty much anything music related. I also enjoy reading. It's difficult for me to pass a bookstore and not go in and buy something. I like good fiction, but I'd much rather read non-fiction anyday.

I belong to Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior and I would not be alive today if it were not for His grace. With His help I have overcome addiction and set my life back on track. I'm not perfect, in fact I'm far from perfect, but His grace is sufficient and I try to remember that everyday. One of my long-term goals is to work with young people who are dealing with some of the same temptations that I have faced.
