Album Art

This is such a random Sat morning@@... My not-so-random friend Kat posted a random Friday (her time) note on FB on the other side of the earth, in some random corner of the office: :

"Everyone else who did this thing had some cool, motivational, fun album art. Mine however is for the suicidal peeps of the world. HAPPY LISTENING!
1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4 - Use Photoshop or something similar to put it all together.
5 - Post it to FB with this text in the "caption" or "comment"...."

It's funny what I've got.... in 10 mins, which is scary come to think of it.
It gaves prigggin bizarrely weirrrrrrrrd vibe for a morning.

Photobucket

what's yours? don't be shy.

*scratch head*

yea.... nakid & WoW indeed, hi-five to Netsui. Everything comes too clear and too big! Makes me want to delete everything.

Following and Followers?? Isn't it Twitter.!!?! Facebook has the annoying Poke that everyone remembers & jokes about but the Status Update&Comment is the main attractions now (myspace follows). Last.fm? I missed the tiny shoutbox at the side... Flickr - 'fav' and it's group pool - according to interest or even camera you use, quite cool. Attracts lotsa of fantastic photographers there, I can get lost hours in there. I reckon that is a success. Even Corbis and Getty hunts for photographers on this site, if I am not wrong. So flickr is like a little Hollywood. Put on your cool shades, get out there and be spotted. *snuggles* Or either way, it's a visual diary. Youtube? - like amazon, they makes nice recommendation according to your frequency of genre you watching. So if you serves porn in the office, I suggest you logged in as another name ;) Bebo, I don't think I ever made it to fifty clicks there, so let's not mention. Live Journal, being live journal :) tho I wish they can 'create' that one corner comfort spot that attracts you to write more, on a more personal basis while your friend pool grows. I think Twitter did a better job in getting you to 'open up'. For now, most journals I read (mostly musicians friends) seems like an announcement than like a journal. It's a Live Bulletin. LOL. i quit hanging out there. DeviantART - Gallery & Gallery Stats - like a traffic survey to your work, nice touch. Threadless it's the 'OMG NO/I'd wear it slogans' votes - it's fairly active, that makes it fun. oh oh. I nearly forgot, design:related (d:r), sorry that i was half-half thoughts to mention d:r, don't get me wrong, it's a great site for designers (definitely worth checking out, if you have time.) but ATM, I would considered d:r as new feeds like BBC's in the design/book cover world, not sure why .... .... ... ................ ANYWAYS... *scratch head* So what is Virb?? everything?? Synonyms to Adium ?? *scratch head*

bow wow wow!?
Hopefully for the better. Let's find out in the long run. I'm sure there are lotsa of goodies to be discovered. But it's a time out for me :P *bell rings*

But... lastly for sure, sending...
some cheers to the virb team(s) for the sleepless night, nonetheless!!

LOMO

...my first 'getogether' guest Session #01 with Lomographic Embassy Singapore organized by Objectifs (http://www.objectifs.com.sg/lomo.htm), got my hands on a Colorsplash camera and a free load of film 400 slide film. I have forgotten what is it like - to load and unload (manually unwind) a film, to wonder the exposure (of a 10pm busy Liang Seah Street) that goes in, the kind of 'hmm' anticipation from film. The group was a tremendous fun, never feel alienated, always a helpful bunch esp during the night shoot-out. THANKS GUYS!! I can't wait to develop this precious roll. It would probably be rubbish.!

Another thing which is all so familiar yet forgotten, the sound from camera - the 'click'!, the winding to the next film. hahaha. You can't get that from a digi cam. It's different. During the session, learned a bit abt cameras too.. these are the ones I wrote down.
(I had to type it here before I lose this paper. :)

LCA (stopped producing) / Lomo LC-A+
Fisheye / Fisheye 2
Pop-9 (like pop art. 9 picts in one)
Oktomat (8 lens - makes 8 frames-in-one of different actions by split seconds)
Frogeye (they stopped producing :( for underwater. only allows to 4m deep.)
Action Sampler
Super Sampler
Horizon Kompakt / Horizon Perfect
Colorflash Hoga (120 medium format film)
Diana + (120 medium format film)

more cameras from internet...
Holga
Holga 35mm
Horizon 202
Seagull TLR
Smena 8m

hmmm... camera camera....more gadget I wish I wish I wish :(
A Fish eye 2 or a LC-A+ ? I like the effects of Horizon.. it's bulky tho.
(Do share if u guys own one or know anything abt these toy cams...)

oh oh...strangely I've learnt this too...
the 10 Golden Rules Of Lomo
1. Take your Lomo everywhere you go
2. Use it anytime - day and night
3. Lomography is not an interference with your life but a part of it
4. Get as close as possible to the objects of your lomographic desire
5. Don't think
6. Be fast
7. You don't have to know beforehand what is on your film
8. Nor afterwards
9. Try the shot from the hip
10. Don't worry about (golden) rules. Be unique and find your own way.
(pretty much a universal rule...hmmmm and as usual, you don't always agree to all rules. :) oh yes.. lastly, the 'group' fav hangout network: www.lomotionsg.com

Fantastic evening!

myspace player won

When i first joined Virb, i was stoked that Virb music player allows itself to plays one song after another. It is something that I've resented myspace for not having. But as time goes by, I realized the virb player doesn't always play like it should. It get stuck or rather stop loading after the 3rd or 4th tracks.. which gets me a little.

Recently myspace did something similar.. but better. It auto plays the next track... with no problem at all (so far !). This allows user to enjoy another level of appreciation.

I hope HEY YOU all mr koolr virb programmer(s) is reading this... and could do something to help to improve this situation... :-)

Just a thought... :D ..spankqu ...
