At the moment, I am working towards my PhD in experimental psychology with a specialization in quantitative methods. To translate, I made the mistake of getting a B.A. in psychology. To atone, I am spending the next several years of life as a statistician's apprentice. My life's desire is to own a taco stand on the beach. At this moment in my life, almost any beach will do. And yet, I find myself pulled into this capitalistic society's dictation of responsibility. That is, I go to school, I will get a job, and I will pay my taxes (and student loans). Perhaps these are merely the rantings of a post-thesis writing delirium. Adieu, brain.
So beyond school, I have a slight penchant for the obscure particularly when it comes to entertainment. My true love of music lies in Swing and Lounge. Look at my favorite movies for God's sake. I live in a cultural wasteland, a.k.a. Oklahoma. yeah...i'm pretty excited about the "revo" event in franklin, tn on the 20th. it's only 5 min. from my house. yay! i understand the feeling of being in a cultural wasteland. even though the music scene here is, as a rule, pretty great...it's still a really conservative area to live in. hopefully, the people here are starting to wise-up, politically, at least.
