Have you ever considered what the Kingdom of God looks like? Why is it that when we get older we lose our wonder and amazement with the world?

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." - Matthew 19v14 [NLT]

If this is true, as Jesus states [also appears in Mark and Luke], what can we learn from our children? I am new to parenting*, but as I enter this journey I can't help but think of this verse. 'The Kingdom belongs to those who are like these children.'

Occasionally, when I am all alone holding my little baby girl, I find myself whispering into her little ear.

What are you going to teach me about the Kingdom today?

She's taught me so much already! I can't help but think we need to let our children teach us about the Kingdom and the King (Jesus). As we start Renovo, lets listen to our kids and be careful not to ruin their sense of mystery, awe and wonder. Let's learn from them and get lost in God's love.
