REPLICA is inspired by the idea that the future forseen in previous generations stayed as a romantic dream that never happened.

Taking the sound of late seventies and early eighties electronica and cold atmospheric rock experiments as LOW from David Bowie. Replica is a paradigm between future and past in rock music made with electronic means.
Despite their low profile image and a considerable young career, Replica has managed to collaborate with, being compiled by, or remix artists such as Client, Placebo, Dj Hell.
They also played as opening act for the likes of Secret Machines, Colder, Client, Junior Boys, Ladytron and Nitzer Ebb in Mexico.

Their first four singles Transmission, Cold, Truth and Sorry (a collaboration with Client) are now on regular radio programing of mexico's alternative radio.

Formed as the result of meting each other during the rehersals of a previous project Called MONGOLIA. After some shows under the aliases of DEFAULT and TOY DIVISION the band finnaly decided for the name REPLICA.
Réplica's style is a blend of 1970s and 1980s post-punk, 1960s psychedelia, space rock, IDM, electropop and a mix of elements from different genres of electronic music. At the beginning many defined the band as electroclash. The group's live performances now include traditional intruments like guitars and a drummer along with the electronic instruments.
