Reptilicus has stalked the fringes of the Icelandic musical landscape since the final hours of 1988.

Honouring Danish film by assuming the title of one, Reptilicus took its cue from the creativity of krautrock, the intricacies of industrial electronica, the broadcasting service of communist Bulgaria and the Dada Almanach.

Since the late eighties and throughout the nineties, Reptilicus issued a number of releases on tape, vinyl, anti-vinyl and CD where experiments, noise, percussion and wind instruments converged in an electronic crucible.

Currently, Reptilicus is gradually working its way towards a new release and brooding over past sonic adventures. As in very beginning, Reptilicus comprises Johann e and Gudmundur I. Markusson.
