NEW DOUBLE ALBUM : B-SIDES & DEMOS 1997-2007
After searching through boxes of archives, we are excited to announce the release of a double album entitled "B-sides & Demos 1997-2007." The collection contains 26 previously unreleased tracks recorded over the last 10 years. Some of the songs will have been heard on tour, others are completely unknown studio tracks. Toby has worked very hard remastering every song, and in some cases remixing. We've had fun putting this together, and we hope you enjoy checking out these rare tracks. You can preview some tracks from "B-sides & Demos 1997-2007" in the music player at the top of this page.
The complete double album containing 26 tracks is now available as a digital music download for $14 CDN at retrograde's online store.

NEW RECORDING & NEW NAME
As some of you know, we are currently (slowly) working on new material under a new name. The new material features a bit of a different musical direction, and after a decade under the name retrograde, it's time for a fresh start. Most of the new material was recorded in Portland with a very talented producer called Gabriel Wilson - and we're really excited to share it with you in the coming months.

Over the last decade, Vancouver's retrograde released 3 albums, toured the country over a dozen times supporting some of the nation's biggest acts, and is now in the midst of an overdue break from the Canadian countryside. The band is currently recording new songs under a new name. Meanwhile, to close out a decade of music under the name retrograde, a double album entitled "B-sides & Demos 1997-2007" will be released in August 2008. In 2005, retrograde's sophomore album "This Frequency We Share" was released in Canada through MapleNationWide/Universal and throughout Europe on Sweden's Atenzia Records. The album was recorded at Matchbox Studios in Austin Texas, produced by Dwight Baker, and mastered in Los Angeles by veteran Dave Collins (Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, No Doubt). Four singles from the album were spun on dozens of satellite and FM stations throughout Canada across platforms from Rock to CHR. Through extensive touring across the canadian countryside, retrograde directly supported bands such as Tea Party, Big Wreck, Nickelback, Default, Bif Naked, Theory of a Deadman, I Mother Earth, Big Sugar, & Wide Mouth Mason. The band also performed at some of Canada's biggest music festivals. Alberta's "Stage 13" Festival, Saskatchewan's "Rock 'N The Valley" and Molson's SnowJam in Vancouver, BC alongside the likes of The Tragically Hip, 3 Doors Down, Third Eye Blind, Our Lady Peace, Nickelback, Pennywise, Finger Eleven and many more.
