REZ EPO a.k.a. Konrad Materek is a Polish project, formed in late 2006 and, until December '07, performing as ASTMA. The said name had been changed when the the final concept and audial identity finally emerged. Although 'REZ EPO' has an unknown meaning even to its creator, it was an obvious and the only choice as it was the first name that appeared in his mind. All in all, REZ EPO tries to embrace the combination of Harsh Noise, Power Electronics and Death Industrial, creating sounds that vary from crude loops to outbursts of pure madness, yet still, all the time, cold, gloomy and uneasy. Inspired both by personal experiences and some works of Asimov, Zelazny and Dick.
