As we all begin to 'hunker down' in the advent of one of the worst economic positions the United States has managed to wedge itself into, the technology sector is standing back in the corner chewing on every nail they've got at the same time.

I have an obsession with doing everything I do to the best of my abilities. Maybe it comes from being a boyscout, "On my honor I will do my best."

You must have commented on my profile as I was responding to your latest blog! (incidentally there were two of them - one showed a blank page when you clicked the link). Anyway, no problems - I see you on twitter so it really doesn't matter too much to me. Whatever works for you. (and a flickr account is really easy to set up and free too - you can probably do it in 5 or 10 mins, assuming you have a yahoo account - and maybe even if not). See you around.

You know what? Don't see enough of you on virb. Can I invite you to some fun groups (assuming you want to play on the place)? It probably seems really quiet around here but it isn't really...

LOL! How's it going, my friend? I really have not improved much at all over the past few months...been too busy to work on it. I did dabble in a little HDR and *gasp* kinda liked it (I know, call me a joiner).

Thank you good man!
You've gotta way with words.
BBF!

Hi again - and thanks for the friend add. See you around the place - feel free to join any or all of the groups and join in the fun.

I may as well add a comment on your profile before I start following you on twitter (seems only polite). I too love cats (having two of my own) and also photography. That's about it - hello - and see you over on twitter if you follow back (/madmoo)

Home sweet home is central Georgia, the buckle of the proverbial bible belt and one of the last places on earth where you can still see the stars because the city lights don't make such a glow as to drown them out. I am, however, originally from eastern Mass - I just don't call it home anymore because the only thing there for me now is my relatives. And I only half like them :P

I was indeed curious...and I was going to give you a week or so to break it in before I asked your thoughts on it. I would imagine that it would be quite top heavy on the 350/400D. A monopod might be an alternative to add some weight and stability until you can upgrade to a heavier camera body? I usually pick up new equipment with my tax refunds, but I'm not so sure I can wait on this one...gonna have to sit on my hands or my "treasurer" will shoot me.

Oh, but the hot lamps come in handy in the dead of winter! I'm hittin' the hay. Catch you on the flip side.

I had noticed that on the BH site, too. I had been turned on to strobist.com as an "affordable" alternative by a couple of my flickr contacts, but by the time I invest in everything I'd need there (and with flashes that aren't fully in sync), I could just as easily have spent a little more for the transmitter and either the 430EX or 580EX. A good lighting system is definitely my next investment though.
