I turned 18 on the third and i think it finaly hit me last night. While talking to my parents in the living room, i asked the question" are you my guardian anymore?" My parents replied, "No. Your, your own Man". Hoooooly Crap!

Revenge, This is a song i got from a free download in the new switchfoot CD "Oh! Gravity.". When i bought the album the first thing i did was download this song. as i listened to it i thought" what a cool song" i mean switchfoot is one of my all time faves so i mean of course i thought so. But anyways, I was interested in what this song meant but never took the time to find out, till last night. I was in the living room with my father and we where listening to music while he was doing some computer work and he said lets find the lyrics! So I said sure! and we did a Google search for the song, as we started the song over and read the lyrics along with the song I noticed my father tearing up, and I asked him what does it mean (it must have been good considering he was crying)? So he told me there are two ways to look at this song, he said you can look at this song from the perspective of the murderer on the cross next to Jesus, think about that. A man that cursed at the lord, spiting on him and denying all that he is. And all that the lord did was turn and say you're forgiven! The second way to intemperate that is, from the story of Judas. He totally betrayed the lord and what did Jesus do? He says "your forgiven" Think about this, before you where born, before you parents where born God for gave you for what you did! We are all guilty and we are all sinners! But still god forgave us all! What the crap! If people could grasp that then the world would change! It puts gods love in some sort of perspective but still, I will never know the love He has for me and all man. Me sitting in my living room thinking about this and wondering what it will be like in heaven(thank you pastor Shane for that wonderful message by the way), listen to what my dad is saying and think Wow do I take life for granet.
