Music is the way my soul expresses itself, whether it's leading worship at my church, singing with a jazz band or jamming with friends in someone's living room. I've sung for as long as I can remember and wanted to pursue it professionally until it became an idol in my life. Anything that hinders my relationship with my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ must be put back into its proper place. Letting go of the grasp I had on music and learning to allow the Lord to lead me down His path for my life has been one of the hardest lessons I've ever learned, but more rich and rewarding than anything I could ever imagine. I've spent a year and a half overseas in Riga, Latvia; Fortaleza, Brazil & Kiev, Ukraine sharing about who Jesus is in my life; gotten to mentor many women through the high school youth group at my church and spent a year and a half co-leading the college women's ministry at Parkview Church in IC where I continue to mentor women. All this has lead me to the desire to pursue a career in counseling where I hope the Lord will continue to use me in men and women's lives to help them know Him better and live victorious lives free from the "sin that so easily entangles us." I will always sing...my soul MUST sing & I cannot be silent, but now it's for His glory and I pray it always will be.
