LIVEFREELIVELOUD

A Concert for Charity

ANDERSON, SC -- Rock will bring relief to Anderson Interfaith Ministries and Anderson Crisis Pregnancy Center this month at LiveFreeLiveLoud: A Concert for Charity.

The family-friendly concert will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. June 29 at the William A. Floyd Amphitheater in Anderson, featuring live music from the NewSpring Band, fireworks show and free tethered hot air balloon rides.

A suggested donation of $10 per person or $20 per family will be collected at the gate. Concessions will be sold inside the amphitheater, but families are invited to bring picnics, coolers, lawn chairs and blankets.

LiveFreeLiveLoud is an annual concert launched in 2005. Last year's event raised more than $20,000 for the two organizations.

With money raised at the concert, Anderson Interfaith Ministries was able to provide a daycare scholarship for a single mom to finish her nursing degree. The funds also paid for 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for needy children and fed 20 families for a week.

Anderson Crisis Pregnancy Center used money raised at last year's concert to purchase insurance and increase its services. The money paid one month's rent and utilities down payments for a homeless 21-year-old. The same woman now works two jobs with a 2-month-old baby. The center also was able to purchase two computers, seven different Bible studies and Christmas gifts for five local families as a result of last year's concert.

LiveFreeLiveLoud is underwritten by NewSpring Church and sponsored by the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center, Brady's Screen Printing & Embroidery, East Coast Signs USA, Bruster's Ice Cream, Sky Scapes of America and Space Walk of Anderson.
